For recruiters: placement fees

If you find a candidate through Hireworthy and hire them, you owe a one-time placement fee. It is set by the compensation band of the role you hired for, based on the top of that role's salary range. There is no retainer, and no placement fee unless a hire actually happens. The placement fee is the only charge for a hire: a subscription never adds to it, and not having one never removes it.

How a placement fee is billed

• Your band is fixed when you first connect with the candidate, not when you hire, and it is shown to you then. A role that is re-levelled or re-scoped afterwards does not move you into a higher band. The fee for that band is the one published in the table above.
• You are invoiced only after the hire is confirmed — you report the hire, and the candidate confirms it. An invoice is due on the earlier of 30 days after the candidate's start date and 90 days after the offer was accepted, and never sooner than 7 days after the invoice is issued, and can be paid by bank transfer or card. Card payments carry a 3% processing surcharge, shown before you pay; bank transfer has none.
• The fee applies for a limited window. A hire is attributable to Hireworthy for 6 months after you connect with the candidate, or 12 months for Director-level and above. A hire is made when the candidate accepts your offer: if the offer is accepted after that window closes, you owe nothing.
• Before the candidate's start date, you can cancel the fee, unless a payment is processing. Undo the hire yourself and an unpaid invoice is voided, and one you have already paid is refunded. From the start date, or while a payment is processing, contact support.
• The fee is shared with the people who earned it. 25% goes to the interviewer whose recommendation led to the hire, and 10% goes to the candidate themselves, up to a per-band cap. An additional flat bonus goes to the interviewer judged most helpful. Hireworthy keeps the remainder. These shares are held until 14days after the candidate's start date.
• Candidates and interviewers are never charged a placement fee. It is billed to the recruiter only. Nobody pays us to be hired.

For recruiters and individuals: the subscription

Interview candidates on Hireworthy instead of stitching together a scheduling tool, a video app and a recorder. A subscription unlocks the scheduling tools: booking links that let a candidate pick a time with you, and availability requests that collect when a candidate is free. An interview booked through your booking link is a video call on Hireworthy.

It is for individuals too: subscribe on your own account, with no organization needed. Every plan unlocks the same scheduling tools. The Individual plan also includes recording and transcripts: your interviews are recorded and transcribed automatically once you both join. Organizations add recording and transcripts to their plan as add-ons. Otherwise the plans differ in who is billed and in price.

Recordings and transcripts are for you and your hiring team. The candidate in a hiring interview is not given access to them in Hireworthy, and they are deleted from live storage 90 days after the interview.

How the subscription is billed

• Start with a 14-day free trial, no card required. Start it on your own account from your billing settings. An organization's trial starts when the organization is created. Each account and each organization gets one trial. When it ends, the scheduling tools stop until you subscribe. Nothing is charged automatically, because we never took a card.
• Billed monthly in advance, through Stripe. You pay the price shown above, which is also the price shown at checkout. The subscription renews each month until you cancel.
• Cancel any time from the same billing page. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. That month is not refunded.
• Messaging candidates never needs a subscription. You can reach out to candidates without one. The subscription covers the scheduling tools; the Individual plan also includes recording and transcripts, and organizations add them as add-ons.

How interview billing works

• You are charged once, upfront, when you request an interview. The amount is held in escrow, not paid out immediately.
• Your interviewer is paid after the interview happens, or when a late cancellation or a candidate no-show releases the fee — earnings are credited within 24 hours of interview completion.
• If your interviewer declines, cancels or does not respond, you are refunded in full, automatically — including when a request goes unanswered for 72 hours. Cancel or reschedule for free at least 24 hours before the start. Later cancellations, and a candidate who does not show up, are not refunded: the fee goes to the interviewer. The exception: while a new time your interviewer proposed is waiting for your answer, cancelling refunds you in full. These rules apply to paid interviews. • Paying for interviews is not a subscription. It never starts a recurring plan, so if you stop booking interviews you are never charged again.

Promotions and discounts

The only offer we run is the subscription's 14-day free trial, on the terms set out above: who can start it, how long it lasts, and what happens when it ends. We are not running any other promotional offers or discount codes. If we introduce one, its terms will be published on this page before it goes live, and any price you were quoted at checkout is the price you pay.

The interviewer and candidate shares of a placement fee described above are not a promotion or a discount. They are payouts earned on a completed hire, they do not reduce anything you are charged, and they are not withdrawn or changed at our discretion.
